Die Ostinato III aus Tallahassee in Florida lag im Juni mit uns im Hafen von Gouda.

Ostinato III out of Tallahassee appeared in Gouda like a UFO.


12 Meter lang und fast 7 Meter breit! Da hat man Raum zum Wohnen. Sue und King, die Besitzer, sind denn auch schon eine Weile auf ihrem Catamaran unterwegs: 2012 haben sie den Atlantik überquert und erkunden seitdem Europa.

Fully 12 meters long and 7 meters wide, this is one livable water rocket.


Unsere Fotos geben die ausserordentliche Grösse des Catamarans nicht wirklich wieder. Unter den bescheidenen - und auch nicht so bescheidenen - Booten im Hafen von Gouda jedenfalls erschien die Ostinato III wie ein Ufo.

Our photos don't convey how extraordinary this beast really is. Like a space ship among the modest motor cruisers in Gouda. Thrilling.
