Vorgestern sind zwei Segelboote des Cruising Club of Switzerland im Sixhafen angekommen. Eines kam aus Calais, das andere von den Britischen Inseln.
Two sailboats from the Cruising Club of Switzerland, one coming from Calais, the other from England, docked right next to us day before yesterday. These vessels take out rotating crews, from beginners to advanced sailors, for two weeks of sailing lessons. Small world. And it gets even smaller.
Sie legten neben der Plan B an, so dass drei Schweizer Fahnen nebeneinander wehten. Die Crews hatten das Ende ihres Törns erreicht und warteten auf ihre Ablösung.

Die kam heute morgen an, und Roy staunt nicht schlecht, als er von seinem Morgenspaziergang zurückkommt und dabei seinem alten Arbeitskollegen Tom begegnet.
This morning there was a crew change on the Swiss sailboats and when I returned from the morning dog walk, who should I meet on the pier but my old colleague Tom, looking fit and shipshape indeed. It was fun to catch up with each other again.
