Wir haben technisch aufgerüstet und die Plan B mit einem 3G USB Router versehen. Dieser kleine Router speist sich sowohl mit 220 als auch mit 12 Volt, ist also bootskompatibel und kreiert ein stabiles drahtloses Netzwerk an Bord.
This is a little router/repeater, 220V+12V. It creates a stable wireless network on board.
Auf dem Radarbügel sitzt eine Antenne, die mit dem Router durch ein Kabel verbunden ist. Die Antenne fängt das Signal vom Hafen-Wifi auf und leitet sie direkt ins Innere der Plan B um. Unser Wifi-Empfang hat sich dadurch schlagartig um etwa 600% verebssert. Wieder einmal einer der goldenen Tipps von Leo, dem ehemaligen Marinefunker.
And this is the Wifi antenna atop our radar arch. It connects to the router via a cable. Simple stuff but this set-up is looking revolutionary. Virtually every marina offers a wireless network but most of them are wobbly. Since we've installed this kit we've had a much stronger network here in Tholen.
