All our winter clothes are packed in these giant ziplock bags and stowed in the hatches beneath the bed. The storage space on this boat is ample, thank goodness.

Obwohl wir vor der Abfahrt Berge von Kleidern entsorgt haben, haben wir (zugegeben: vor allem ich!) immer noch viel zu viele Sommerkleider (rechts im Bild). In unserem 'Kleiderschrank' muss deshalb ein zusätzliches Regal her. Hier ist Roy beim Ausmessen.

Jan has a little fenced in area for visiting dogs. It's in the shade and has a nice view of the River Mark. We parked our dogs there while we worked on the boat but since they both came from shelters, we imagine they might have had some stressful moments. Oh well, that's how they learn to trust us.

Late in the afternoon, we took the mutts on a march along the Mark. This relatively small barge reminds us of what we'll be sharing the right-of-way with. Rule 1: Keep out of their way!
