A fortnight --- is that 10 days? In any case, that's what we have before launching Plan B (and ourselves) into the Life Aquatic. The new mattress is ready, the blinds aren't, yet. The carpets are dyed, the curtains well on their way. The result is the appearance of chaos, but this puzzle's been solved. We just have to put the pieces in their places.
Immerhin: die meisten noch ausstehenden Arbeiten sind kosmetischer Natur.
Here, I ready the rug for red dye. This is good stuff, from America, of all places. Simply Spray Upholstery Paint. Nontoxic, water-based fabric dye.
Der Teppich in der Kabine kriegt, passend zu den Wandteppichen, einen roten Anstrich,
First coat. Red beats brown hands down.
... und da wir gerade dabei sind, werden auch die kleinen Teppiche für die Treppe rot gespritzt.
We got the spray so let's play. Even the carpet on the steps go red. Tomorrow, the hull gets antifouling (and I get muscle aches).
