Endlich besseres Wetter! Am Dienstag machen wir uns auf den Weg in den Biesbosch, eines der grössten Naturschutzgebiete der Niederlande.
The wind and rain relented and we finally can leave Geertruidenberg. We head for the nearby national park The Biesbosch, a vast area of shallow channels, islands, wetlands and farms. And birds.

De Biesbosch - das sind unzählige kleine Wasserstrassen, die sich um kleine und noch kleinere Inseln winden.
The park is a maze of waterways and islands.
Das sind (zumindest unter der Woche) einsame Anlegestellen.
Every now and then there are landings. No services and no fees.
Das sind Vögel aller Arten; sogar Nachtigallen singen hier.

It really is idyllic here.

Neira und Pippo sind glücklich, wieder festen Boden unter den Pfoten zu haben.
Neira and Pippo aren’t entirely comfortable when we’re underway. They were very happy to get wet and dirty again back on land. Still only six weeks together, their bonding is a joy to behold.
Hier werden wir die nächsten Tage verbringen. Ohne Strom, ohne Wasseranschluss - und ohne Wifi!
Here we are and here we will be for a few days. No electricity hook-up, no network. But there are compensations.
