One of those heartbreakingly beautiful fall mornings. Having survived our first tour without our mentor Leo, we were ready to try again. We set off once more for our landing on the River Mark. No need to seek out new destinations; this circuit has quite enough to test our skills.

The water in the windless, sheltered canal had that silvered mirror flatness, doubling every view in perfect symmetry. On the Mark, conditions were still fine but wind and clouds were building. We didn't linger long at our mooring. Just a coffee break and then back to our harbor.
Der schwierigste Teil ist das Anlegen im Hafenplatz. Ich schaffe es, die Plan B ohne grössere Nervosität an ihren Platz zurück zu bringen. Unser zweiter Ausflug ohne Leos Supervision ist also wesentlich weniger aufregend verlaufen, als der erste.
Aila at the helm, did a fine job of bringing the boat into the slip. This simplest of outings, merely our second without adult supervision, was both richly instructive and curiously exhausting. We agree: we need to do circuit this several times more. And who knows how many more chances we'll get this season?
