Relaunch


Plan B liegt seit einigen Tagen wieder da, wo sie sollte, nämlich im Wasser. Nach tagelangem Warten, ging es dann plötzlich ganz schnell.

We spent some days on the hard, getting the stern drive electronics to work properly and having the propeller tuned. Coming soon: a new max power test to see if we are closer to the 4000-rpm ideal. When it was time to get back in the water the sun was bright and so was the mood. Dirk and his practiced crew picked us up and put us back where we belong.
Dabei hatten wir uns gerade noch gewundert, woher wohl diese ominöse Flüssigkeit stammen könnte.

Before we were afloat, we noticed these two dribbles of moisture emerging on one of the stabilizers. A riddle for another time.
Seit wir wieder schwimmen, haben wir geputzt. Mit 'Grüner Seife', 'Groene zeep', Schmierseife nämlich. Man löst sie in heissem Wasser auf, sie wirkt absolut und hinterlässt keine ausgetrockneten Hände.

With the last details attended to in the engine room, we could resume reclaiming our boat. We're cleaning with something called Green Soap. I comes in a jar and has the consistency of dense jello. It works like a charm and we notice that it feels totally nontoxic on the skin. Good stuff!
Macht müde, das alles.

Boat cleaning makes me tired. Aila once heard that naps can be as fit-making as a workout. I like that theory.
