dAISy am Werk
AIS onboard!


Arno, immer hilfreich, hat in seinem Vorrat einen Adapter für dAISy gefunden und wir können berichten, dass sie funktioniert. Plan B ist der weisse Pfeil, immer noch gut aufgehoben im Hafen. Alle anderen Dreiecke sind Schiffe. Man kann darauf klicken und bekommt dann Informationen dazu: auf dem Schelde-Rijnkanaal fährt gerade die Typhoon mit undefinierter Fracht und etwas über 15 km/h bergauf. Ausserdem kann man sehen, dass die Vier Gebroeders mit 12 km/h talabwärts  fährt; sie traf zehn Minuten später in ihrem Liegeplatz bei uns im Hafen ein... :-)

Arno, a font of helpfulness, scrounged up an adapter for the antenna so we hooked up dAISy to our navigation notebook and presto we had data! Plan B is the white triangle upper middle and all the other triangles are ships or barges. We can click on one, as we did here on the Typhoon, and get all the info we need. We need to see how this all works out when we're sailing but the set-up seems to work.
